Sylvia / 정아름 (she/her) is somewhere between first and second generation Korean American, born and raised on unceded Lenape land in the Bronx (and is proudly 100% a product of New York City public education). As the Development Officer of Institutional Giving, she supports Third Wave Fund’s fundraising efforts through building and sustaining relationships with institutional funders. Prior to joining Third Wave, she served a variety of development roles at NYC-based and national nonprofits over her career, most recently at Grantmakers in the Arts. In her out of office life, Sylvia was a longtime crisis hotline volunteer with New York City Anti-Violence Project, and is a TNR-certified butler to her rescue cat. Frequently pre-occupied by/ dreaming about liberation, abolition, and noodles are her love languages.
