Genevieve Saavedra

Development Officer, Individual Giving

Genevieve (they/themme) is a transculturally and transracially adopted/displaced Chilean queer person, critical adoption educator, organizer, and abolitionist committed to relationship-building and resource redistribution. As a Development Officer at Third Wave, Genevieve connects, collaborates, and co-conspires with people to resource gender justice movements in a variety of ways. During their 9+ years in development, they cultivated relationships to move resources toward Black and Brown parents/organizers impacted by the family policing system across New York City. They are passionate about dreaming up possibilities of healing, kinship and collective liberation with adopted, fostered, and displaced people and communities targeted by the state. Will geek about biking in cities, queer(coded) horror tv/movies, their hanky collection, and bonding over music hyper-fixations.
