Ashe Helm-Hernández
Ashe (they/them) is a non-binary Black butch artist, organizer, and cultural worker with roots in Louisville, KY, with over two decades of experience in advocacy, leadership development, youth organizing, and mentorship. Currently, Ashe is the Senior Fellow of Philanthropic Organizing at Funders for LGBTQ Issues. In this role, they support the program team's working groups and collaborate with trans and queer-led funders and intermediaries to coordinate the Trans Futures Funding Campaign steering committee. Prior to joining Funders, Ashe served as the National Program Manager at GSA Network. Ashe is co-founder of the Tiger's Eye Collective: Queer Security Cultural and Educational Project following the Pulse massacre in Central Florida. Ashe is a proud member of Alpha Psi Kappa, Fraternity Incorporated, and a 2022 Trans Justice Funding Project Community Grantmaking fellow. Aside from their work, Ashe enjoys sunsets while walking in the park with their wife and two dogs.
