The Sex Worker Giving Circle (2018-2019 and 2020-2021) provided two-year grants to support their operations, including supporting the TransPro project, which breaks down stigma and low self-esteem to empower trans women by supporting them to stabilize their job security, gain financial literacy skills, and help survivors heal from trauma.
The Mobilize Power Fund (May 2022) supported their ability to organize a harm reduction convening and toolkit for/by Black trans women with experience in the intersections of the sex trade and drug use.
The Sex Worker Giving Circle (2022-2023) is providing a two-year grant to support the group in addressing the current syndemic (Opioid, HIV, and, HepC) and the effects it has on Black trans sex workers and people that use drugs. There is currently no research related to Black trans sex workers who use drugs specifically, and gender-affirming practices are included in risk reduction methods because of this lack of inclusion.
