Sovereign Bodies Institute

Sovereign Bodies Institute's purpose is to build upon on Indigenous traditions of data gathering and knowledge transfer to create, disseminate, and put into action research on gender and sexual violence against Indigenous Peoples. In their direct services, they are committed to holistically supporting survivors of and families impacted by the global crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples.

The Own Our Power Fund (2021-2023) provided a two-year grant to build the capacity of their direct services meant to protect and empower Indigenous survivors.
