Serenity House provides a safe space for women, transgender, and gender nonconforming folks at the intersection of sex work, drug use, and houselessness in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA. They provide tools and resources for people to meet their needs and make their own choices as safely as possible in the street economy.
The Sex Worker Giving Circle (2023-2024) is providing a two-year grant to support operations in 2024, including monthly rent, utilities, harm reduction supplies, overdose prevention efforts (xylazine & fentanyl test strips, Ambu bags, naloxone); stipends for Serenity House participants participating in house upkeep and committee work; makeup, wigs, self defense tools, sleeping bags, hand warmers, and hygiene supplies.
