The Queer Detainee Empowerment Project (QDEP) is a post-release support, detention center visitation, direct service, and community organizing project that works with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, Two Spirit, Trans, Intersex, Gender Non- Conforming, and HIV+ immigrant prisoners and their families currently in detention centers, those that have been recently released from detention centers, and those at risk of entering immigration detention. They work in prison abolition with a queer/trans lens, deportation defense, closing ICE detention centers, and support national work to end trans detention and dignity not detention.

The Mobilize Power Fund (August 2021) supported their organizing to release a queer, immigrant sex worker and to further organizing work in the intersections of sex work and ICE abolition.
