Own Up AHS

Own Up AHS is an initiative to support the Anoka Hennepin School District’s accountability to their community, led by young Black Muslim women who have experienced racial and gender-based violence in AHS. They are a previous MPF grantee, and their work builds on momentum from uprisings in response to anti-Black violence and the murders of George Floyd and Winston Boogie Smith Jr.

The Mobilize Power Fund (June 2021) supported an organizer's healing and completion of their report about abuse and racism within AHS.
