Out in the Open (formerly Green Mountain Crossroads) connects rural LGBTQ people to build community, visibility, knowledge & power. Based in Brattleboro Vermont, they work locally, regionally, and nationally to build a multi-issue social justice movement of rural LGBTQ people.
The Own Our Power Fund (2019-2021) provided a multi-year grant for leadership development and infrastructure growth for and with their rural LBGTQ communities.
The Mobilize Power Fund (2020) supported mutual aid for rural trans and queer community members and leading organizing efforts around healthcare access, economic justice, and ICE resistance.
The Mobilize Power Fund (September 2021) supported their Rural QTBIPOC/LGBTQ+ Mutual Aid Fund to support communities in rural New England.
