On Muvas Mutual Aid

On Muvas Mutual Aid is a direct and mutual aid organization created in the Fall of 2020 focused on healing and parenting justice to provide immediate aid to and build community among DC residents in Wards 4, 7, and 8 and DC residents displaced by gentrification. They focus on supporting Black and brown sex workers (specifically exotic dancers/strippers), young mothers, and femme-identified parents between the ages of 14-30, and LGBTQIA+ community members.

The Mobilize Power Fund (October 2021) supported a sex worker retreat and mutual aid support among Black and brown sex workers, young mothers and femme-identified parents, and LGBTQIA+ community members.
