Massage Parlor Outreach Project organizes to build worker power and leadership among migrant Asian massage parlor workers, sex workers & care workers in the greater Seattle area.
The Mobilize Power Fund (April 2021) supported a partnership between Massage Parlor Outreach and Coalition for Rights & Safety for People in the Sex Trade to engage in outreach and organizing with (mostly) immigrant women working at massage parlors in Chinatown/International District of Seattle for an oral history project made by and for Asian women sex workers. Coalition for Rights & Safety for People in the Sex Trade is a network of individuals and organizations promoting self-determination, safety, well-being, and human rights of sex workers and people engaged in the sex trade through public education, policy advocacy, and other activities from empirical, harm reduction, and social justice perspectives.
