Jahajee Sisters

Jahajee Sisters is a survivor-centered gender justice organization activating Indo-Caribbeans in New York to address the root causes of gender-based violence, amplifying community voices and visions to transform culture through arts activism, leadership development, grassroots organizing, and solidarity economy practices.

The Own Our Power Fund (2021-2023) is providing a two-year grant to strengthen the organization's sustainability, focusing on building a bench of leaders who can carry the work forward, and increasing their financial sustainability by holding a seven month intensive Leadership & Empowerment Institute.
