I am Human Foundation is a Black, trans-led organization that aims to create a safe space for individuals who are homeless, living with HIV, and trans youth, with a focus on those who experience discrimination due to their lifestyle or gender identity.
The Mobilize Power Fund (July 2021) supported getting food and basic human needs to homeless Black trans youth who had been forced from their homes due to their gender identity.
The Mobilize Power Fund (March 2022) supported their ability to organize a "Get Out the Black Trans Vote" campaign and mutual aid in Ellenwood, GA.
The Mobilize Power Fund (May 2023) supported their ongoing fight against the passing of SB140 (an anti-trans bill in Georgia) and their ability to provide mental health counseling for youth that are impacted by the signing of this bill.
The Own Power Fund (2023-2025) is providing a two-year grant to support IAHF in building capacity through training youth organizers that will subsequently help IAHF grow their base of BIPOC TGNC youth in Georgia. IAHF will also build capacity by hiring a grant writer who will help them become better resourced to support their efforts in the community.
