Program Officer, Mobilize Power Fund & Accountable Futures Fund

mai [my] (they/them) is a queer, Mexican/Vietnamese writer, facilitator, and grief worker living in Albuquerque, NM. As the Program Officer for the Mobilize Power Fund and Accountable Futures Fund, mai aims to resource intersectional, gender justice movements and organizations in their work towards abolition and collective liberation in ways that allow for rest, healing, experimentation, and care. To their role, mai brings over 15 years of experience as a youth worker, organizer, and facilitator within gender justice, reproductive justice, and anti-violence movements. Outside of Third Wave Fund, you can find mai facilitating writing workshops, hiking in the Sandias, or laying in the sun with their dog, Story. mai is the author of water/tongue, a 2020 Lambda Literary Award nominee. As a lifelong student of earth-based and ancestral wisdom, mai is dedicated to healing lived and intergenerational trauma by writing a new story.
