Vigilant Love

Vigilant Love is a grassroots organization challenging Islamophobia and white supremacy in Southern California and beyond.

The Mobilize Power Fund (March 2021) supported their organizing around community responses to government efforts to fight "domestic terrorism" after the January 6, 2021 white supremacist attack in Washington D.C.

The Own Our Power Fund (2021-2023) provided a two-year grant to support their first leadership succession of one of their co-founders and co-directors, Sahar Pirzada. This transition required careful planning to support organizational planning, the recruitment and hiring of a new co-director, and capacity building with new staff.
